The end of Nic

Nic has submitted his thesis. This goes against one of Nostradamus' most famous predictions:

Nic won't finish his thesis.

Of course, Nostradamus was often ambiguous and anything can be read into the above statement. For example, what is Nic? What is a thesis, and how do you finish it?
